IFMA Wichita Philanthropy Committee and Facility Enhancement Grants
Purpose: Establish a Chapter Committee responsible for establishing and managing the IFMA Wichita Facility Enhancement Grant Program (IFMA Wichita Cares).
Benefits:

- Increases the interest, participation and fundraising potential for our Annual Golf Tournament.

- Helps to strengthen our image among our membership.
- Gives our membership an opportunity to showcase their skills and products and be acknowledged for their contributions.
Process:
- IFMA Wichita Chapter Vice President Chairs the Philanthropy Committee along with volunteers.
- Grant submission begins January 1 and ends on May 30 of each year.
- Grants reviewed and voted on at the June Board meeting.
- Press release sent out July 1 announcing grant recipients and the purpose of the IFMA and the grant.
- Grant added to golf marketing on July 1 to enhance fundraising and participation.
Program Goals:
- The delivery of two Enhancement Grants annually of at least $750 each.
- At least 10 grant requests annually from local non-profit organizations.
- The development of one membership volunteer improvement project. This would involve getting our membership to donate their time, expertise and materials to help fulfill a grant request for facility enhancement. Example, repainting an entrance, enhancing the organization’s landscaping etc.Â
